I’ve always been meaning to ask: did you make all your little clay goddesses yourself, and what do they represent? 🙂
Yes, I do make them all! They really started as a birth art project during my last pregnancy and have continued to serve as a 3-D journal of my life (the last update post I wrote about them was: http://talkbirth.me/2013/02/27/birth-art-journey-mamapriestess/). After only making them for myself and for friends, people talked me into selling them on etsy and so now I do that too: http://etsy.com/shop/talkbirth. I still make a lot just for me–they always tell me something about my life or serve as a record of it–but I also do custom orders and then just make whatever strikes my fancy. 🙂 I’ve made hundreds of them now probably and I still find it a rewarding practice!
So, like the ones in this picture are new from the last month or so and are not usually the same ones shown in other pictures.
I wrote a little bit more about why I make them in a post here too: https://goddesspriestess.com/2013/03/11/woodspriestess-echoes-of-mesopotamia/
